Focus And Scope

The Journal of Healthcare Technology (JHT) also welcomes studies within nursing research, emphasizing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies that contribute valuable insights into healthcare technology. We encourage submissions that focus on:
•    Studies examining how information technology can optimize nursing or healthcare practices, enhance patient documentation, and streamline clinical workflows.
•    Research exploring the development, usability, and impact of nursing-led technological innovations, such as patient self-management tools, personalized care applications, and technology-supported health education aimed at promoting patient empowerment and adherence to care plans.
•    Quantitative and qualitative studies evaluating the impact of digital decision-support systems, clinical practice guidelines, and technology-enabled assessment tools on nursing judgment, patient safety, and clinical efficiency.
•    Articles on the application of virtual simulation, digital learning platforms, and AI-driven tools in nursing education, as well as studies on how these technologies improve clinical competencies and readiness among healthcare student
•    Studies assessing the effectiveness, challenges, and patient outcomes associated with telehealth services and remote nursing care, particularly in underserved and rural areas.
•    Research examining the ethical implications, human factors, and user experience considerations of technology in nursing or healthcare highlighting the unique challenges nurses face in adopting and effectively utilizing healthcare technology.
By broadening our scope to include healthcare studies, JHT aims to foster cross-disciplinary innovation that recognizes and supports the pivotal role nurses play in the successful integration and efficacy of healthcare technologies. We invite researchers and practitioners to contribute their expertise and findings to shape the future of healthcare technology and improve patient care across settings.
