Fees and Pricing

This page provides details on potential fees associated with publishing in this journal.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

This journal operates entirely on an open-access model, meaning all articles are published under a Creative Commons license as Gold Open Access. In many instances, the cost of Gold Open Access is covered through institutional agreements. If authors are not covered by such agreements, they may be able to use funds from their institution or funding organization to cover the APC. Additionally, various funding options, such as equity programs, waivers, and discounts, are available to ensure that all authors have the opportunity to publish and benefit from Gold Open Access. For more information, please explore the open access options provided by the journal.

Waiver policy

Our goal is to make publishing in Journal of Healthcare Technology accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. To support authors without available funding or coverage through a Transformative Agreement, we offer the following waiver options:

  • Editorial Waivers: No article processing charges (APCs) are required for certain article types, including Editorials, Letters, In Memoriam pieces, Abstracts, Acknowledgements, and Corrections (such as Corrigenda or Errata).
  • Discretionary Waivers and Discounts: Corresponding authors of research articles without access to open access agreements, equity initiatives, or external funding to cover APCs can request a partial or full waiver. This request can be submitted at any stage of the publication process, even after the article has been accepted, by completing the waiver request form.
